ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE ...
We propose you to spend a special night where surprise and adrenaline will be the protagonists coming from sledding by husky dogs, snowmobiling and/or walking with snowshoes.
In order to enjoy this adventure we take the road heading to the valley by small bus, located about 21 kms from the center of the city, we will arrive at the main refuge where the guides, who will explain the development of the activities, receive us and will divide into groups and give us an instruction and safety measures for handling snowmobiles to begin this great adventure.
Snow and Fire offers two different options to enjoy the snow:
- Dog sled + two-seater snowmobiles (4 km)
- Dog sled + snowshoeing
We begin the journey under the light of the stars and the moon if we are lucky that the sky is clear. If the chosen option was snowmobiles, we will walk in a circuit of 4 km between valleys and millenary peatlands. If you choose the option of hiking with snowshoes, the guides will help us to place the snowshoes on our feet to be able to walk safely and undertake a beautiful quiet walk of approximately 30 minutes crossing the valley in the middle of the winter night.
Once the activity is over, we will arrive at a torchlight path that marks our entrance to the forest until we reach the shelter, where the cook awaits us with a hot dinner, hot spiced wine to comfort the body, wine, non-alcoholic drinks and the speciality of the night “Cofee of lumberjack”. The dinner is nuanced with a guitar and typical talks of the stove.
The return to the main refuge is with sleds pulled by husky dogs. Upon arrival at the main refuge, we will return to the city of Ushuaia remembering this wonderful experience.

IMPORTANT: A combination of activities must be chosen at the time of booking. They cannot be changed at the location.
Option 1: Snowshoeing + Dog sled
Option 2: Dog Sled + Snowmobiles.
The order of the activities and the routes can be modified, depending on the snow and climatic conditions, and according to the size of the group, for the consideration of the guide, without any right to claim by the passengers.
Motorcycles and sleds are two-seater, 2 passengers per snowmobile or sled.
It is mandatory for people to be dressed appropriately and wear waterproof trekking boots or snow boots. They must be warmly dressed (we recommend dressing in layers: base layer, fleece or coat, gloves, hat) and have a waterproof jacket and pants. If they do not have the specified items, it will be at the guide’s final decision to determine if they are fit to participate in the excursion.
